Advice on enabling AutoRun.
I have recently encountered the same irritating problem.I have read numerous forums
to try and find out how to solve this.
At last I have solved the problem and now get the'Prompt for action'notification
when I insert a CD into my Drive.
I solved the problem by using Regedit on the software Tune up Utilities 2003
Search the registry for AutoRun-Set to 0x00000001
Search the registry for NoDriveAutoRun-Set to 0x00000001
Search the registry for NoDriveTypeAutoRun-Set to 0x00000095
Search the registry for CDRAutoRun-Set to 0x00000001
Use-REG_DWORD Value!
Enter either 1 or 95 as a HexaDecimal.
Hope this is of some help!
It worked for me,after several hours of trying to figure it out.
GOOD LUCK!
