Even when I push the "hibernate/standby" button, the machine goes off into never-never land and then a few minutes later, I hear it come back out as if I hit the power button to pull it out of hibernation. I've done no such thing. Hibernation turns off the computer, so mouse jiggling and keyboard taps should never wake it up. Standby put the computer to "sleep," so a mouse action might wake it up. And the Microsoft suggestion doesn't work with the most recent XP service packs. Argh. Any help?
