Here is a list of things to check first:
1. Make sure all your phones are filtered and your modem is not.
2. Make sure the cord from the phone jack to the modem is no longer than 6 ft. long.
3. If possible use an ethernet cable to connect the modem and not usb. Usb is slower!!
4. Make sure your modem is at least 1 foot away from any electronic device.
5. download, install, update and run spybot s&d (get it here> www.security.kolla.de).
6. If you are too far from the phone company your speed will suck.
7. Old or worn out phone wires in your house will affect the speed.
If you are still having problems. Call your ISPor post back here for help.
