Oh, I think I figured out why the one machine has hibernate as the first option. I never tried to put the machine in standby before. The WinXP installation doesn't think the machine supports standby mode (no idea if the APCI on the machine does or not... don't use it anyway). Hibernate is the default option because standby is not supported. I would still like to know if there's a way to make hibernate the default for the other machines.
