PLease help me if you know networking Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 7:33 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Lenny (11 messages posted) I am on a new computer and immediately after installing XP I renamed the main user from 'Owner' to another name. While when I boot I do see this new name as the main user, and do not see the name 'Owner' anywhere, in every other aspect the name 'Owner' is still here! On the network, this is the user of this computer; in the windows directory it uses the name 'Owner' to store all things relating to the new name I gave it (ie. in the 'documents and settings' directory there is still a directory with the name 'Owner' and there is NO directory with the new name that I gave it.) If you have any clue as to what the problem may be, or better yet if you have a solution, I'd greatly appreciate it.
