I can help you with part of it. On the "E" icon, right click and select properties, from there click on the shortcut tab of properties, and towards the bottom it has a field called Run - there select to open Maximized. You can set the properties of any shortcut like this - but it's been my experence that when you click on a link from a web page it reverts to what ever size Windows has given. Pain to me too - mine barely open enough to view two lines of data unless of course I'm opening from the shortcut I edited.
