This MS KB has some info you'll find useful: Logon Name Does Not Match Name in Task Manager or Under Documents and Settings Folder If you want the D&S folder and Task Manager to reflect the new name, you'll have to make a new account with the name you want, copy the user profile of the Owner account to the new account, then delete the existing Owner account.
