Windows shuts down due to ''RPC unexpectedly terminated'' error, among other things Sunday, January 18, 2004 at 8:38 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Louis (1 messages posted) My computer restarts every once in a while and gives the error message about "RPC terminated unexpectedly." Also, I can't open most programs--they will run for a few seconds and close. Windows update messages also keep coming up, until the whole taskbar is almost filled with the icons for Windows update. Any help with these problems would be appreciated.
