I deleted LOWERFILTERS and UPPERFILTERS as well which restored both my DVD and CD
drives. The unexpected benifit was a tremendous increase in spead of program launch
and web page load. Why this happened I don't know, but I am sure grateful to those
that gave this advise. Has anyone else experianced a similar gain in system speed?
