Hmmm....just finished reading all the replies to dwwin.exe. I just started getting
this problem after upgrading from Norton NIS 2003 to NIS 2004. I do not have any
Gravis hardware devices. A circumvention that eliminated the dwwin popup at shutdown
for me is go to :
control panel/system/advanced/error reporting/chose programs/
and add "ccapp.exe" to list of programs exempted from error reporting. ccapp is the
main Norton AV 2004 program.
