Arrrg. The horror. you fiddle and fiddle and fiddle.
Then it all goes wrong.
I thought id try to change my start button text for a laugh. I followed the
instructions carefully,
or so i thought. I figured out how to use the xp recovery console and
downloaded the hexed. I deleted this and shifted that and nothing happened. No
change in text or operation. So i did it again. wow was there a change that time.
Explorer wouldnt work. at all. Ok back into recovery and get explorer from the backup
folder. access denied ok try again still
nohope. Set about it godknows how many times still no hope. Bugger
in the end i just deleted the corrupted explorer from the windows folder and started
up. Got into windows no gui. Ctrl alt del One taskmanager.
Start process. C:\backup\explorer.exe

Relief has come. Oh the joy. oh i love you xp

Good luck and remember it doesnt matter what you do Ctrl Alt del will always save
yoyur ass.
