I have been using Windows 2000 for about 5 months now. During that time I have had
some experiences with window XP as our company is migrating to Windows XP at all
their sites. (10,000 plus people). I still have not read or seen anything that convinces
me to switch to Windows XP (Proffessional).
The feel and look is different, but bottom line is that I have not seen anything
special about the OS and how if operates that makes it better than Windows 2000.
Both have lots of patches to install and keep up to date (thanks for the buggy software
Bill Gates). But at least both OS have update utilities. I love the fact that it
will tell me when updates are available.
I don't see any real value gained at this time to switch to Windows XP if you are
already using Windows 2000.
