get memmaker [came with 98se] and its associated support files.. they'll fit on a diskette. make a win98se boot disk and reboot your system using it. once at the dos prompt, create a directory: md c:\memory and copy the contents of the memmaker diskette to the c:\memory directory. from that directory run memmaker and tell it to make ems available for apps along with windows say ok to the prompts and reboot.. when you enter xp exit xp again.. you should get a blue/green screen asking if your computer seems to be operational, say yes look over the memory savings and happy trails. mix2plix
