Hi All,
Just came across this forum for a similar problem and will be trying this out tonite,
at home.
However, just like to see if my bug is similar to yous.
My sound icon is there, but when clicked, it says "blah blah is not installed"
Hardware check is seems to be fine.
However, when i restart my machine, i get my sound back. all is well. for example,
if i use media player right after a reboot, i will be able to enjoy Linken Park.
Once i close the player, soon after, i will lose my sound too.
Does this fix apply to my scenario?
Thanks much,
blu
