first of all, this mup.sys problem is actually not about mup.sys... that file doesn't
have anything to do with power functions
i tried moving it out of the directory it's loaded from, and the system hanged at
the file before that one, so it's more likely a problem with the file that's loaded
next, which according to the logs is halaacpi.sys (ymmv)
yes this has to be a power thing...
additional facts in my case:
-my usb keyboard doesn't work
-my power button doesn't turn the power off in a single push, you can only turn the
pc off by holding it the 4 secs
also, i can't boot into win98 but i can boot it into safe mode
