I Agree It's a Power Problem Sunday, February 29, 2004 at 12:12 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by GraveDigger (2 messages posted) first of all, this mup.sys problem is actually not about mup.sys... that file doesn't have anything to do with power functions i tried moving it out of the directory it's loaded from, and the system hanged at the file before that one, so it's more likely a problem with the file that's loaded next, which according to the logs is halaacpi.sys (ymmv) yes this has to be a power thing... additional facts in my case: -my usb keyboard doesn't work -my power button doesn't turn the power off in a single push, you can only turn the pc off by holding it the 4 secs also, i can't boot into win98 but i can boot it into safe mode Written in response to: re: Mup.sys?
