I have come late to this discussion, and I may have missed something. I don't have
a Windows XP system. I didn't buy one because the sales people at Circuit City told
me that Windows XP could not run DOS programs. Everything I use is a DOS program,
my text editor, my compiler, my word processor, my mailing list program, all of the
compilers I use, and all of the programs that I have written -- they are all DOS
programs.
So, if there is any way to run these programs under Windows XP I would like to know
how. Otherwise, I simply cannot use any of the newer computers. I will have to
keep repairing my old computer until it becomes impossible.
