I've had this problem for about two months. I have Windows XP Home and Office XP.
Today I solved it by going into Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, single-clicking
on Microsoft Office XP and then choosing Change. I put my Office XP CD into the
drive and let the Office XP repair utility do its work -- and four minutes later
everything is back to normal.
