I just might have to upgrade. The printer is hooked up to a different outlet, but in the same room and on the same circuit breaker. When I turn it on, I bet the voltage drops and the UPS kicks in to boost it. This is probably not too good for the computer--I don't know for sure, but APC's site says the clicking sound is from the relay doing either a voltage boost (makes sense) or a voltage trim (higly unlikely).
