I'm having the same problem. But i know what i did to make it happen. I have this compaq presario keyboard and it has several "easy access" buttons. This keyboard is from my old computer but i now use it with my new one. Anyways, there's a button that's SUPPOSED to put the computer on stand-by. So i got curoious and i pushed it but it restarted my computer instead. Now whenever i try to shutdown my computer restarts! And the bios screen looks all distorted. Anyone have any ideas? I'm almost resorting to reformating my computer but i have too many files that i didn't back up.
