i'll try to help where i can...
if you can not find the "inf"folder you may need to enable explorer to view hidden
files and folders. also, if you are on xp you do not have a "winnt" folder, the "inf"
folder lies withing windows, it looks like: C:/windows/inf/sysoc.inf
now, the problem with all that is it is irrelevant in that you cannot remove WMP
from your computer using the uninstall programs stuff...
my suggestion is to keep on the lookout for a better wmp to be released, or for MS
to relese an uninstaller. untill then, user winamp for your audio, VLC media Player
or Power DVD for your movies. or just do config mplayer2 for your video... that works
for me :)
