I have this problem too, specifically STOP: 0x0000008e (0xc0000005, 0x80521e09, 0xf0533768,
0x00000000).
This ONLY happens when I attempt to play certain videos, namely those that use Windows
Media Player 9 technologies. Although it claims the RAM is the problem, I do not
believe that. And yet, sometimes certain websites cause the crash, java perhaps?
In either case, it's likely a problem with GDI as the Microsoft article mentions
about hardware acceleration. I am going to try a few things to fix it and you may
want to try these too:
* Install the latest graphics card drivers
* Try different hardware acceleration settings
* Reinstall Windows Media Tools 9
* Give up and buy XP so I can get the fix
Good luck everyone!
