I downloaded the updated drivers for XP (although they are unsigned) from www.linden-technology.com
when I first bought the USB-TV100 about a year ago and at first they worked fine,
but every now and again they seem to get corrupted and I get sound but no picture.
If I click on the motion capture button in Mentor TV to test it, it appears to work
i.e. it displays the elapsed time and n frames captured but playback comes up with
the message MCI driver not ready and then the window where it would display the captured
video comes up with No Device in the title. It happened again yesterday and despite
re-installing the drivers I still can't get it to work again. In the documentation
with the updated drivers it has 3 dialog boxes indicating that 3 drivers are to be
installed but now I only get two coming up. Presumably this is what is causing the
problem. Does anyone know what device I should look for in the Device manager so
I can re-install the driver correctly ( I have tried the SPCA506A, WDM Video Capture
device, Intel PC Pro Camera and USB Root Hub that the camera is plugged into and
still can't get it to work). Alternatively is there a more recent set of drivers
for this device ?
Thanks in advance if anyone can help me out with this.
