I too, have been researching this problem and found the following...There is definitely
a FILE named Isass.exe and a "legitimate" file name Lsass.exe. I was working on a
friend's computer that was having major problems of rebooting after displaying a
security threat message with the path to the file ...Isass.exe. From what i've read
from other sources there seems to be some consistency that this file is a backdoor
trojan.

There are some good suggestions on both these sites to try and rid yourself of this
"problem". I tried formatting the harddrive and re-installing windows XP only to
have the same problem re-occur. Here are some suggestions...
- Search "Task Manager" under the "Process" tab for the file name "Isass.exe"
- Search your PC for the file "Isass.exe. If found, restart your PC in Safe Mode,
remove the file name and reboot. Then edit the registry and search for any entry
containing the name "Isass.exe" and remove it.
- Scan your PC for any viruses.
- Download the latest "windows updates"/Service Packs.
- Install a firewall...i.e Zone Alarm
Hopefully one of these suggestions will help...
