Hi, I've been reading this thread and conclude that I can't uninstall Windows Media
Player. I can live with this but what is annoying me is that last week Windows Media
Player 9 now all of a sudden starts up everytime I turn my computer on. It doesn't
just put a little icon on the menu bar; the whole program is open on my screen.
As far as I am aware no one here downloaded version 9 so I don't know why this is
suddenly happening!
In fact we don't even use Windows Media Player as we use Music Matchbox. The only
way I can figure out for WMP not to start up is to go into msconfig and take the
check out of the box on the startup tab. But then everytime I turn my computer on
I get a message that I have a custom configuration and it takes me to msconfig.
geesh... Is there a way to have WPM sit quiety on my computer and not start up when
the computer is turned on?
