These are EXCELLENT directions, but first just add in the suggestion made by the
other person to stop the process: "you must end the process of the program before
you try to delete it. Do this by Control-alt-delete , then select process and end
process for the hpupdate program. "
You then can delete everything you need to and you shouldn't see the start up message
again.
