I have a similar type of problem to those mentioned above - it may or may not be 
directly related!!
Windows XP Pro with all the usual anti-virus/adware/spyware software installed and 
run often.

An outline of the problem is 
1.   When I attempt to start any application/System function that uses explorer.exe 
I get the "Send to MS" message saying that explorer.exe has caused a problem.  
2.   Some applications work fine.  
3.   Everything works fine in Safe-Mode (as far as allowed).
4.   Some System tray icons are missing.
5.   Using Selective Startup in 'msconfig' does not isolate the problem.

I would appreciate any thoughts on this problem as I have done all the remedial actions 
I can think of.  Have I overlooked a virus? Or Spyware... or..........

Any help would be appreciated.
