I too have the same problems after updating my perfectly working machine with XP
SP-1 update on a Toshiba 5005-s504. It is running the Yamaha AC-XG sound (or was).
No sound, no device manager entries and the initial display within Windows explorer
from root (C:) takes 45-60 seconds to open and display. If anyone can help it would
be greatly appreciated as I loved this machine but now....
