Gentlemen, can we use the forum for helping resolve issues and not just flaming each
other. You can't post to "Annoyances.org" and not expect some actual annoyances.
That said, I have this same issue and it will not go away. I ended up reformating
my entire HD and reloaded Windows XP. Once completed, I setup my dialup connection
and did the first connection to the Internet via the "WindowsUpdate" icon on my start
menu. About 2-3 minutes after going online for the first time, I got the same lsass.exe
error that shuts down the PC. How can I be infected with a virus not 3 minutes after
going online and not going to any site other than MS Update and not reading any email.
It makes no sense.
If you're just going to flame me, then don't bother. I realize I am an idiot for
asking the question, even though this question has been asked already, so let me
save you the trouble and call myself worthless. However, if you have something productive
to add, I would be very insterested.
Thank you for all your patience....
