I, too, had the same "spooler" error. Uninstalled ZoneAlarm Pro Suite, BINGO! Works
now!!! So if you have upgraded ZA try removing it. Worked for me after weeks of not
being able to share between my machines. One machine still has ZA Pro Suite on it
and it is OK. The machine that I removed ZA from was XP Pro, the other XP Home. I
don't know if that made a difference or not but it worked for me! I may not have
had some setting in ZA set right, but both were set up the same as far as I know.
