I've had the same problem and it started when I updated those 5 critical updates
for XP a couple days ago (July 13, 2004). The stuff waiting to be printed was complete
crap that I did not ask to be printed. I deleted everything off the print queues
for all printers, but 20-30 minutes later it came back. This has plagued several
people I know and it all started with these updates. I also agree with a previous
posting that mentions it can happen after I run a Norton/Symantec scan. One person
I know fixed the problem by deleting the guest account on XP. I've managed to stop
it by unchecking a suspicious blank program in the msconfig startup. New virus or
obnoxious defect in XP/Norton?
Any other info on this?
