Recovering works fine, but after a reboot....... Yes you guessed right.... again the mup.sys hangup. All other solutions don't help, not even automatic repair/recovery.... I'm running in circles now. I figured out this is a BIOS/ACPI problem. Since this is a Sony Vaio PC, no possibility to update the BIOS (it's simply not available).
