I used spybot and found out that Microsoft put a registry entry called DSO Exploit:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\0\1004=W=3
Spybot referred me to a website called www.greymagic.com/security/advisories/gm001_ie.
Greymagic gave me some suggestions as to how to how to change registry information
but I could not find the right registry information to make changes. I do
not like to mess with the registry anyway for fear of messing up. Greymagic
said the only real solution should come in the form of a patch from Microsoft.
I do not use Internet Explorer browser. I use Netscape 7. I did
set Internet Explorer Home page to: (about blank) and as long as I don't browse
to any other websites I can close IE Browser. Other wise I have to use ctrl-alt-delete
which brings up windows task manager and I can close IE Browser with Task Manager.
