I am having the same problem and I am not a gamer. My computer has been working fine since I got it but yesterday it stopped working. The screen goes black and the keyboard stops responding (pressing numlock does not change the colour of the numlock light). The power is still on to everything and the computer is still on. Fan is shirring, screen is on (and not in power saving mode) but black. I turn it off and then on again. It starts and then crashes a random time later. It crashed very quickly yesterday but is taking much lkonger today. I have not found a solution yet so would appreciate any help.
