Question about 'Turn off Animation (menus, windows, etc.)' Saturday, August 7, 2004 at 9:45 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Arvind Raghavan (2 messages posted) I have a question about Turn off Animation (menus, windows, etc.): I would like to turn off the annoying messages that popup from the system tray especially the ones that are related to the network cable unconnected etc. Also I would like to leave some of the network icons there but not all of them eg. I would like to leave the wireless one but remove the others. Is there any easy way to do this. I tried to do this via Taskbar properties, hide inactive icons, customize and said to hide the icon always. It works but when I restart the icons are back.
