Error 1406 Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at 2:46 pm Windows XP Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Moose04 (1 messages posted) Am trying to install Sync software for my new SE K700i phone and am getting the following message during the installation Error 1406.Could not write value Sync Station to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Erricson\PC Connectivity Suite\Installed applications. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel. I am running WinXP Pro and logged in as Admin. It seems every reference i find suggests that this error was fixed with xp?? When checking regedit the reg path listed above does not exist.
