Your edit does not seem to have helped,and I am not able to suggest anything as I
have had my own probs with the registry in the past. I always use if possible some
program to do the dirty work for me because 99.9% of the time they have been designed
by and tested by someone that specialises in that particular problem, (ie: messing
with the registry) Is there any way you can get back to where you started like having
a registry backup?. Wish I could help
