Try a repair install...

Might be an idea to print it out.

Or....press F8 during startup (just before windows loads) and choose "last known good configuration"

Or....Using the "Recovery Console"...

Use the command BOOTCFG /REBUILD

Might also be an idea to do a 'disk check' whilst you're in the RC with the command CHKDSK C: /R (assuming C: is the drive xp is on)

Note: The Administrator password is blank by default, so if you haven't set one, just ignore and press "Enter"
