No legacy programs at all.
Some typical ones installed are MS Office 2003 Pro, Macromedia Suite 2004 MX,
Photoshop 7.0,
bunch of games but the oldest one installed is Battlefield 1942.
As for drivers, I had already updated by mobo bios to the latest non-beta and
also the latest SATA drivers. The IDE was just using the Windows XP supplied ones,
but it is a common drive that has been around a couple years, so I doubt it could
be that one. Oh well, I guess I'll just wait along with many others for a few
more months before trying again. If anyone else has had issues with fastfat.sys
& Win XP SP2, please post so I know I'm not alone and to see what if anything we
would have in common. I have to say it is a brilliant security feature
that is as effective as pulling the plug on your PC in order to secure it! /rant
