Yea, I had the same problem and solved it a lot easier than messing with all that
registry crap! It all starts with changing a setting or installing a program and
then restarting your computer. You don't relize it has changed untill you reboot.
I thought about it for a little bit and then remembered that I set a minimum font
size in my web browser. Sure enough I changed it back and restarted my comp. and
I was able to select windows XP in my appearance. Your web settings have a profound
effect on everything else in a windows OS.
