I keep on hearing about a virus/worm called or associated with "about blank".I use a blank home page and have done so for over a year. This shows up as "about blank" in my task bar when I first open IE.As soon as I go anywhere on the web the task bar icon changes to that web site.So far so good.I regularly use avg,spybot,ad-aware,spyware guard and spywareblaster,so I'm fairly certain that I don't have any malicious stuff on my pc.Ad-aware seems to think that "about blank " is bad and wants to change my home page.I finally had to tell ad-aware to ignore that item.Is the problem that a piece of bad s/w misused "about blank" so that programs like Ad-aware issue warning when they come across it even if it hasn't been infected.? Am I safe to use a blank home page? Thanks for any thoughts on this.
