I had a similar problem trying to connect an XP machine over a wireless network to a Win 2000 machine with the MFC-8600 printer. The XP machine could not see the printer and it was not an available option in the drivers dialog. Then I manually entered (in the ADD PRINTER dialog box/ADD Network Printer.) //homeoffice/brotherMFC8600/9650 (homeoffice being the network name) Voila...printing fine. Cheers
