I had overlooked the need to extract the file before placing it in the Proof folder. A simple step probably known to the more advanced folks solved the problem. Try it. Just right click on the file and choose Extract. It was convenient for me to place the extracted file on the desktop and drag/drop it into the proof folder. Hey, cumbersome, but it worked for me.
