My sentiments, exactly! Nothing, nothing, nothing worked... until:
Check, in Services, if the Universal Plug and Play Device Host is started. Mine
wasn't. When I started this, I could finally see my devices in Device Manager.
Seems that the SSDP service is part of the Universal Plug and Play and must be started
for the other to work correctly. Got this info from Robert Moir's Website... the
url is too long to list.
