Suspend to RAM and boot virus settings had no effect. Worked fine either way. I did suffer from no sound though. I ended up doing yet another reformat and fresh WIN98 install. This time I made sure the Soundblaster Live was installed and working. Ran the XP upgrade and now it works. XP sure is picky about hardware. Maybe thats why it's so stable once it's running.
