I've tried using active wallpaper (HTML based, with Flash animation). The Flash animation considerably slowed down any window dragged over it. Now that I disabled it, the icon text is not transparent, and icon shadows are not antialiased/alpha-blended. My display is set to "best-appearance" and "lock desktop items" is off. I tried disabling Active Desktop in the registry (for all users and my user specifically). That didn't do the trick. Active Desktop simply refuses to leave. I would appreciate any help. Igor P.S.
