Bangert (1 messages posted) I have a VAIO that came with ME, that I have since upgraded to XP. However, my update has left me with very little HD space and the computer performs poorly. I have also LOST my system restore disk, and I cannot purchase a new one. I have a copy of Windows 98, still sealed and never used. I want to downgrade to it. I tried a straight installation, and now both 98 and XP are on the computer. Not what I was going for. Any suggestions are welcome. I considered reformatting, as I have NOTHING I want to keep on the computer. However, I fear that if this is not my restore disk, the drivers may not be recognized. Again, any ideas are welcome.
