If you press F8 when you see the computer makers logo (Dell for me) it should let you choose how to boot. Choose Safe Mode, make the changes, save, restart, and it should work. If that doesn't work, I don't know. Sorry. It worked for me, hopefully it works for you also. You didn't change the pink border did you?
