I have a question about Prevent file corruption problems:

I am trying to 'un-corrupt' a usb port drive... and i'm not sure how to get the disk checker to check that one! I am able to open certain folders on my USB but others will not open because of an "I/O" error. What does this mean and how can i correct it; these files are very important to me! ~ashley
