This option CAN be found on all machines running W2K and XP.
To clarify:
Click on My Computer, then click on System, then click the Hardware Tab, then on
Device Manager. When DM opens, click on View, then on Show Hidden Devices. You will
then see NT ATM legacy support. It will have a red x overlaid on it. To enable this
device, right mouse click it, and then click on enable.
You will now find that rather than responding with "it is now safe to turn off your
computer" your pc will close itself down quite happily.
