U r misunderstanding the "upgrade process" with an upgrade cd. With a bootable xp
cd, one can upgrade from a windows environment or can run setup after booting from
the cd. That option is not there when u purchase a "upgrade only" xp cd, which is
approx 200 bucks less than the real xp cd. Thats the diiference between the two types,
u pay more to install xp from a formatted HDD.
An "UPGRADE ONLY" version disk requires a windows environment to run.
